Traceroute Tool
Trace the network path to any server worldwide
About Traceroute
Traceroute is a network diagnostic tool that shows the path packets take from your computer to a destination server. It displays each hop (intermediate server) along the way and the time it takes to reach each one.
Hop Number
The sequential number of each server in the path. Hop 1 is your gateway, higher numbers are farther away.
IP Address
The IP address of the server at that hop. Shows where the packet is being routed through.
Latency
Time in milliseconds for a packet to reach that hop and return. Lower is better. "* * *" means no response.
Reading Results
Green hops are local network, yellow are regional, red are distant. If you see timeouts, the server may block ICMP.
